Weird wassily chair design

I was looking for chairs, just browsing around on the internet today and I came across this weird looking beach chair thing, the wassily chair. Apparently, it is actually a really old design, just here for a major comeback. At the price, I am not sure how it could be selling very well. What would you even use a piece of equipment that is that costly for? I would be afraid of damaging it or it getting stolen! The only peopple who probably buy these things live behind motorized gates and have personal security guards, I am sure! Well, just thought it was interesting…
